Congratulations to the matrics of 2015

The Lady Grey Arts Academy would like to congratulate the Grade 12 class of 2015 on their results obtained in the National Senior Certificate Examination. The Academy has a pass rate of 95,3% with 19 subject distinctions and 52 Level 6s. With one result outstanding, and three other students who qualify to register for the supplementary examinations in February, we are holding thumbs as it may still be 100%.

We celebrate the achievements of these students who have improved on both the number of subject distinctions and the number who attained a Bachelor’s Pass in 2014. In fact, they have exceeded the achievements of the last 5 years in these areas. Their results were outstanding and our congratulations go to all these students who had achieved superb results in spite of a very busy schedule.

We especially applaud the excellent achievement of the following individual: Kamvelihle Mangqishi obtained 86% in Life Sciences, 83% in Dance Studies, 81% in Dramatic Arts and 80% in Life Orientation.

The following students achieved two subject distinctions:
Thuthula Dotwana (Dance Studies and Life Orientation); Andiswa Mbolekwa (Dance Studies and Dramatic Arts); Sicelo Mokati (Dance Studies and Dramatic Arts);  Luleko Ncobo (Life Sciences and Mathematical Literacy) and Justin Thompson (Afrikaans Eerste Addisionele Taal and Design). Kuhle Dyantyi, Tiara Livi, Tholwana Makhetha, Amanda Nkolongwane and Vuyo Tshingi each obtained one distinction.

The Lady Grey Arts Academy is usually a hive of activity throughout the year and many of these students who have achieved top results have also been fully committed in other aspects of the school. Their collective contribution to the school over the years has been considerable and they have finished solidly with these excellent results. We salute them on their achievements and will follow their passage through university and beyond with interest.
