Triple Factor Competition

LGAA students through to final round

Six of the Lady Grey Arts Academy students participated in the Triple Factor Competition that was held in Bloemfontein on 10 April 2015.  This competition is organised and hosted by Prophetezz Productions in combination with the UFS Institute for Reconciliation and Social Justice.  This competition is held to promote the arts at the university and to establish a platform for students interested in the performing arts.  This competition also aims to raise money to buy winter tracksuits for learners at an underprivileged school in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.  This forms part of Prophetezz Productions’ community outreach programme.  The competition boasts with 7 top judges that have the big task of choosing a winner at the final round on 3 May 2015.   The judges are:

  1. Dr Ricardo Peach: Director of Volksblad Arts Festival.
  2. Mr Warren Randell: Facilitator, coach, international dancer at MDG Academy that also sponsors one year free training at MDG Academy.
  3. Mr Wenuf Ontong: Vocal artist, vocal coach, bass guitarist, drummer and professional recorded singer.
  4. Mr Zane Muller: Dancer, choreographer and founder of H.O.D.S. Dance Crew in Bloemfontein. His team has danced for Bloem Show and Miss Free State 2014 to name a few.
  5. Ms Zachia Lucia: Professional recorded singer and vocal coach.
  6. Mr Johan Jansen: Anchor of the Breakfast Run on KovsieFM and public speaker.
  7. Mr Reitumetse “Skietrekker” Seape: Acclaimed poet and all-round performer.

All six of our students were selected to participate at the final round of the competition.  We would like to congratulate these students and wish them luck in the next round.
