The program started with the Best speakers’ awards where students showcased their debating and speaking skills. This was followed by the Best Dressed competition. Learners wearing a cultural outfit could enter the competition where they stood a chance to be awarded the Best Dressed for 2015.
The grade 7-9’s tested their skills as young entrepreneurs by selling all kinds of delicious food items for their entrepreneurs day which was also part of the day’s events.
“House of Fun”, a production performed by the Academy’s grade 4-6 learners was playful and a lot of fun and laughter for the parents and artists.
St. Michael’s School, Bloemfontein visited the Academy with their choir and marimbas which added extra excitement to the program. The Academy’s three choirs also performed. The last choir item was a combined piece by all the choirs.
Culture day was concluded with the second junior production, “Look at me, I am creation”, by the grade 7-9’s. The production was yet again proof of the talent that the teachers nurture from a young age at the Academy. Congratulations to the cast of both productions – you were superb!
