Lady Grey Arts Academy played host to the spectacular “Tribute to Leonard Cohen” show presented by SWEID ENTERTAINMENT from Bloemfontein on Saturday night. 

The four-piece band, consisting of vocalist Cornel Van Zyl, bassist Jaco de Wet, drummer Angelo Mockie and featuring our very own ex-student Hattingh Davel as lead singer and guitarist, performed covers of Leonard Cohen’s most popular hits.  The Konserthus was filled with excited patrons who enjoyed cheese and wine while being soulfully transported down memory lane with the likes of “In My Secret Life”, “Sisters of Mercy”, “Hallelujah”, and “Suzanne”. 

Lady Grey was the last leg of their Eastern Cape tour, following shows Burgersdorp.  The SWEID Entertainment band can be seen performing regularly in Bloemfontein, covering artists like Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA and many more.  See their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweid) for further information.
